In this lesson, students will read a text about Krampusnacht, analyse language related to Krampusnacht and discuss and debate a controversial proposal.
Warning: This lesson is about a beloved but controversial mythical folklore figure called Krampus, who resembles a demon in appearance. Whilst the celebration of Krampusnacht is secular, and believed to be pre-Christian in origin, it is possible that it may make some religious students uncomfortable. You should read through the lesson carefully before teaching it, to be sure it is suitable for your classes.
