A short mingle activity.
Time: 5-10 minutes
Materials: Blank sheets of paper / markers / audio of instrumental music
Procedure
- Divide students into pairs and give out a blank sheet of paper and two markers to each pair.
- Ask them to draw two ‘intersected’ circles on the sheet and write each student’s name above each circle (show it on the board).
- Tell students they have three minutes to get as much information as possible about their partners. They should write the information in the respective circles, and write information they have in common in the circles intersection.
- Pairs report their findings to the rest of the group.
Notes
Elicit some preliminary questions according to your students’ levels.
Having some kind of background music while students are working creates a relaxing and inspiring atmosphere.
