The eye

This lesson plan provides an introduction to the human eye and its component parts. A pronunciation exercise helps students practise the distinction between different ‘i’ sounds in: ‘ciliary’, ‘conjunctiva’, ‘iris’ and ‘retina’. In pairs students then ask and answer questions to complete their diagram of the eye. Useful phrases are provided. A follow-up vocabulary exercise reinforces fifteen key terms and their definitions.
